What is included in a company's assets?
Post Body
I've glanced over some financial reports of companies, and I see one section called assets and liabilities.
It seems like assets might be a not so reliable metric for judging a company's value?
I would think it depends on what can be considered an asset. Like if a company has a huge warehouse full of... idk beanie babies or something, and they paid $1 billion for it. Then it would seem to make sense to take the "assets" metric with a grain of salt.
What can be considered assets? Thanks
