How do I read options alerts?
Post Body

Hi all, I'm relatively new to investing. I've been maxing out my IRA and 401k so I've been dabbling with individual stocks and I haven't made any regrettable mistakes yet.

My account is with TD and researching companies and looking in the news section, I'll see something like this:

Holdings Option Alert: Apr 17 $11 Calls Sweep (3) near the Ask: 500 @ $1.591 vs 585 OI; Ref=$11.235

I'm not going to jump into options at this point but I'm more curious how to read this and maybe I can extrapolate some kind of prediction out of it.

Thanks for bearing through the noob question!
