In the promo poster for Yashahime, Inuyasha is furthest away with his back turned and Sesshomaru is just a bit closer but looking to the side. And in the opening song there is a scene where you get a close up of Sesshomaru's face and Inuyasha is hidden behind him, back still turned even though he is peaking over his shoulder. This is symbolism for something, we just don't know to what.
There are a lot of theories that the original Inuyasha gang (the girls' parents) are lost in time or maybe trapped inside these pearls they are collecting. But I wonder if maybe Sesshomaru isn't trapped? Or he could be the first one they release? I just get the feeling from the brief flashes of the brothers that Sesshomaru isn't lost. He's involved somehow, of course, working in his mysterious Sesshomaru ways. Inuyasha seems like he is lost or trapped and very sad.
I don't really know what I'm getting at but I'm curious to see what this symbolism stands for.
