Hey there r/introvert!

I am a 25 year old male. Growing up I've always been afraid to go out for things and it carried on till now. But since that young age till now I notice despite preferring to stay at home and not socialize, if I am out by the rare chance, I tend to socialize a lot even more so than maybe the average person. This being around people I'm comfortable with like friends and family I must add.

Now someone had made fun of me and I was also shunned when I had labeled myself as introverted. While it's understandable I dont think being made fun of or ridiculed is cool. But I'm curious and my question is.... can you be an introvert if you still socialize if you're already out? My point being I never really want to go out and majority of the time I am either asked to many times to where I feel bad, or I am dealing with something at home and need to step away.

Thank you and sorry if this was a waste of time for anyone to read.
