More like social anxiety than introversion

I am extremely introverted. I wfh and only have to go into an office for meetings one day a week. This helps me a lot, but I don't have work friends. All of my college friends live in different areas.

I have always had an easier time chatting women (i am male) as they are just so friendly and I was not interested in them as more than friends. I feel more intimidated by males and can't make friends.

I live in the suburbs of New York. Looking to make friends locally or online if that works. I'm 35, but open to anyone.
