INTJ's and 'saving face' / office politics

Post Body

How does everyone handle these things from an INTJ perspective. I have such a hard time with office politics / power playing. I cannot stand saving face or adhering to principles that I think are stupid and have no value. For instance, I've been told I'm supposed to work from 8:30 to 4:30 but my job can be done anywhere and anytime. I hate being told this. I want the autonomy more than anything. I will work somedays from 5AM to 5PM and somedays from 9AM to 3PM depending on what's going on.

On the flip side I know this can be an issue for me. I can't always have it my way like Burger King. I need to know when to take the back seat and adhere.

So, can anyone relate? How do you handle / negotiate to stay productive for your personality?
