My intj friend just told me that the reason he asks me questions and doesn't listen to the response is because he has a method of choosing what he wants out of the two options. He heard from somewhere that you should flip a coin to decide whether you should pick 1 of 2 options and whatever your gut reaction to that coin flip is is the option you go with. Sometimes this is what he'll do, however, other times he told me that he has a different method based off of that method. In the method he uses most often, he asks me or someone else a question and whatever I or the other person answers he has a gut reaction of and bases his decision on the gut reaction to our responses.
It feels kinda bad though bc it means that the response I give doesn't actually really matter. I don't know whether I should be upset or fascinated by this robot of a man.
Anyone else do this? Does this method of doing things interest you? Are you going to now go off and use this method?
