Usually I am very deliberate with things, but as of late I have told my anxiety to shut the fuck up and realized something. I was out with some friends and made a casual joke about a chick (that she was going to miss the pocket or something or her aim was off, just light hearted) and we chatted a little, exchanged a few joke bumps and what not, but could not escalate it (her and her friend left).
At work someone had to return something, so as my register was the only one open they used mine to return a toy nerf gun. As she was handling it I said her trigger discipline was lacking to another co-worker. After the transaction and what not she seemed to interact a little more and said bye when I left. I don't want to read into it like the first one and that is not the larger point of what I am talking about.
Have you ever had random fits of flirting or teasing? For me it seemed like once I started to focus on being more open and genuine, things kind of fell into place.
