So, I have heard a lot about how you should not wear all black to a job interview, but with a black dress it is somewhat hard. A friend of mine hires in the same field I am interviewing in, and she gave me some advice.
I was going to wear a black jumpsuit (tailored and structured, not one of the loose flowy ones) with a matching black blazer, gold earrings and necklace, and black patent leather heels. This is the outfit she had picked out for me.
I am worried that it will be seen as too serious or too boring, but I've tried putting different colored blazers on top and it just does not match.
Does anyone have any advice??
I’m a successful lady in professional services and have never heard such a thing! Your outfit sounds cute and polished (which is something I do notice in face to face interviews) but honestly it’ll be hard to tell via Zoom anyway. As long as you’re competent, qualified and professional - no one will notice what colors you’re wearing :)
