I lost my job in July, and figured it was a good time to try and find a job in my field. I graduated in 2009 from ITT Tech with a 3.9 GPA and a degree in Computer Network Systems.
Since graduating I have worked at Gamestop, Best Buy (Geek Squad), and a subsidiary for Sallie Mae. I have not once been called for an interview for anything Networking related, until this week.
My main concern is that it's been 7 years since I've graduated, and now I feel like my degree is no longer valid. The interviewer said it would be a 15-20 minute call. What should I be expecting? My best friend, who works in HR, said that he was never asked any HR questions in any interviews for his job. While I am confident in my ability to DO the job, I am not at all confident in firing off technical knowledge when questioned over the phone.
If anyone has any tips, I'd surely appreciate them.
