Hello everyone,
I would love you insight as it's been a few years since I was last job hunting and things seemed to have changed drastically since 2020.
I've applied to probably over a hundred positions, positions for which I have the education and experience to qualify, and recieved close to ten mainly screening or second level interviews over the past month.
These interviews seem to be great, they have typically exceeded the allotted times, the interviewer will often discuss the next steps, the vibe, in all of my interviews, have been positive, the few recruiters whom I worked with for some of these postions have said the interviers was impressed, the HR person would say I am definitely in the running etc.In all cases, I would have said, especially after I applied my pre pandemic insights to how I think the interview went, the interviews have been positive.
Up to now, with every job I have interviewed, I have heard nothing or have been rejected outright. I am puzzled as I don't think it's my resume ( since I am getting interviews) or even the fact that I'm bombing the interviews ( based on my impressions above), but something is wrong.
I would love to hear the community's insight and advice. I suspected my former employer, who laid me off, was perhaps giving these employers a negative review were it not for the company's founder explicitly offering to give me a glowing reference and the legal implications of giving subjective negative feedback about a former employee.
I wonder what positive signs you received for a professional job for which you recently received an offer ?
I would love some interviewing tips you've found to be helpful in today's market.
