So I had a job interview, and I'm excited. Things went well from what I can tell.
It's important to note that this was the final interview.
I asked about the next stages and the interviewer told me he would send me information on a criminal record check. He told me that he would send me a contract and compensation package after that.
I said "Oh, sounds like I got the job" and he didn't say no but he kind of bit his tongue so to speak and refrained from fully answering
This got to my anxieties and I'm kind of stressing that I didn't get the job. But the more I think about it, I guess that he wants to see how the criminal record check goes, which I'm not worried about. But perhaps he didn't want to commit to saying anything because something may come up in that, and he would then be caught in an awkward position if he told me before that the job was mine and set in stone
As I left he said he was looking forward to seeing me again so there's also that
I think I got the job, but it's kind of nagging on me. I'm supposed to find out early this coming week but what do you all think?
