How to ask about leave
Post Body

So my friend group plans our years worth of long weekend trips a year in advance (usually Thurs-sun, maybe a We’d-sun or just a Fri-sun here and there). For 2024 we have 12 work days we all have planned & paid for our camping spots for. (I.e. in may we have a thurs-mon over Memorial Day weekend, then in June a Wed-Sun, etc). How do I best go about asking if I’ll be allowed to take this time off? (The prospective position I’m looking at has unlimited PTO, so I’m not sure it would be an issue? I could also offer to work the weekend before if needed…)

Edit— I do not intend to ask before an offer, just deciding if I ask or wait until I’ve worked there a lil while.
