So I had a great phone interview yesterday for a great job for my dream company. This opportunity fell into my lap and I am ecstatic about it. I work in construction management and this role will require me to be on site.
The phone interview went great and the HR woman on the phone pretty much said the job is mine I just need to meet with the hiring manager and get his final word of approval. I have my meeting tomorrow.
During my excitement during the whole interview, I didn't even comprehend the fact that I would be driving about 300km a day to get to and from the job site.
Obviously, with the price of gas and the extra cost of maintaining my car, I don't think this drive is feasible.
Should I message the woman I had the call with to ask about the potential of something closer now before I meet with the hiring manager or bring it up during the meeting?
