why didn't Cooper experience extreme time dilation when entering gargantua?

Am I missing something here?
Wouldn't he age like millions of years while approaching the event horizon?
Is it because gargantua or something was constructed by "them" and doesn't have the same effects?
Did the tesseract spit him out back in time?
I feel like missed a key detail or something
