I’m thinking of contacting Cinemark 17, in Dallas and then IMAX to possibly hold a screening for Interstellar in IMAX 70mm. I was wondering who would be able to make it, if at all interested. Please lemme know what you think, because I’m serious about doing this.

EDIT 1: Alright guys, I’ve decided I’m gonna ask for a quote from the theatre. I came to know that they’re gonna ask the studio for the movie. We have to sell out, which are supposed to, since it’s gonna be classified as a “classic” movie. The IMAX at Cinemark 17 holds 202. We need those many people to actually make this happen. I need your help guys, please like this post even if you don’t comment, so that I know we’re all serious about this, I know I am. Let’s get this done. I’m currently looking at asking for the first/second week of December since we’ll all be having some vacation time off, but not too close to Christmas. DM for any questions or concerns. PS: Gimme some words about what I can tell them when asking, I’ll draft the quote and post here soon.

EDIT 2: I’ve requested a quote. I’m going to update the status here, along with the date and time, and how we can go about getting the tickets to everyone.

EDIT 3 (Sep 7 2023): What’s our next preference if IMAX 70MM is not possible? They were asking about 2D/IMAX Digital.

EDIT 4 (Sep 7 2023): It’s a NO for IMAX 70MM. But, I called IMAX and they’re okay with any format. So, eventually asked for a quote for IMAX Digital from the theatre.
