I saw a new Endocrinologist to see about HRT, I'm wanting to start Estrogen. I brought up my Intersex status (she was the first Dr. that actually knew what AIS was and understood Intersex statuses). She took a great interest in figuring out what went on with my body. It's a cold case as I have no medical records and my parents refuse to elaborate or have purpose forgotten about. She did a very thorough exam on me. She was the first doctor to notice I do not even have developed testes. According to her, mine are pre-development stage and she is trying to get testing ordered to see if I may possibly have them undescended. She did a full body exam and I expected, I have actual breast tissue (I'm not just fat like my parents insisted). She isn't quite convinced exactly what my condition is and is doing blood work and trying to get a new set of genetic testing. Needless to say, there are Doctors out there that do care and know about Intersex conditions, so please do not lose hope.
