Before you say it, i have an appointment with a genetic counselor on the 27th. But, here's the thing. I uploaded my dna to promethease, it says I'm female. Okay, fine, i am/was afab. But, here's the thing that gets me, when i look up this specific gene variant on any other gene site, it says its on the y chromosome and not the x like promethease says, so I'm really confused as to whether or not i have a y chromosome or if I'm just missing an x chromosome.
And does anybody know if having the genotype alleles a/a for the SHOX gene affects the possibility of Turner Syndrome? Thanks, much love to yall ❤️
