Would you do an unpaid internship or turn it down?

Post Body

I’d like to get feedback from those willing to share.

-Would you do an unpaid internship for any reason? If so, what are those reasons?

-Would you turn down an unpaid internship even if it would give you experience on your resume?

-What would make you be willing to accept an unpaid internship?

Comments

if the internship was remote or very close to me (ie like 10 mins MAX) from my house then i might consider unpaid. i’m a low income student who relies on the gov and my current jobs paychecks to pay my way through school so i can’t afford to take a pay cut really

thankfully now there’s lots of choices for paid and unpaid and during my search for this summer it was actually harder to find unpaid ones. i guess if i were desperate then sure but i wasn’t so i ended up being patient and finding a paying one for this summer
