I'm 28, just a new job in a new state and I'm terrified to leave everything behind.
Post Body

Good people,

As the title states, I just got a new job. Big time coaching gig at a large division 1 university. I'm terrified as I will be moving far 12 hours away from home, going somewhere where I don't know anybody, and just scared I'm going to fail. I don't usually fear failure, but for some reason I just can't shake the feeling this time. I want to succeed so bad, and I want to be happy. I am scared I'm going to be alone after work and just gonna come home to an empty apartment with nothing to do.

Idk if im asking for advice or just want a place to rant. Guess I can do both right?

side note: collegiate coaching is a profession where you have to go where the job is at. I've had colleagues travel cross country multiple times for positions. To move up in pay/responsibilities you essentially have to move. I got a major pay & responsibility bump with my new position. To put this into Context: I'm just starting in this profession and I may not see 50k well until I'm in my early 30s. This is my first real job. (I am super proud of that).
