Sorry if this is a weird question, I don't know where else or who else to ask.

My mobile phone number ends in 729. Today I got a phone call from a phone number that was EXACTLY the same as mine, except for the last three digits, which were 222. I didn't answer because it creeped me out but under an hour later I got another phone call from, again, a number exactly the same as mine except for the last three digits, which this time were 229.

I didn't answer either of these calls and they didn't leave a message. I feel incredibly freaked out because what are the odds of that? And why would that happen? I mean they were exactly the same as my phone number, just with the end digits changed.

I googled the numbers to see if they were associated with spam and nothing came up, no results.

I know this might not be typical fare for this subreddit but I am posting here because I don't know who else to ask. I'm kind of scared by it. Please give any insight or advice you can.
