What color couch would go best with dark brown furniture with black metal accents?

Iām really bad at interior design and am getting a new place soon. Iād like to make it look nice rather than a looking like I went wild at a garage sale.
I bought a matching coffee table and tv stand that are dark brown with black metal accents. Looking for advice on what color couch would go best with it and maybe a throw rug color suggestion too?
I feel dumb even asking this kind of stuff.
