Just FYI I'm not american. And yes, I know it was stupid. It was early in the morning and I was scrolling through my email inbox when I saw a notification from "PayPal" that my account had been "blocked". You can guess the rest. In my defense I was still drowsy. But back to the point.
I went straight to the bank as soon as it opened and withdrew all my money (debit card). I couldn't stay to cancel the card because of time constraints and long lines but I'll go tomorrow. I suppose I'm safe from having any money stolen right? I've also changed my actual PayPal and email passwords.
Anyways, I also gave my email address, full name, home address, phone number (kinda burner phone I use for most things but still), and my mother's full name (this should've tipped me off because it asked for her maiden name but that's not even a thing in my country).
I won't be picking up calls for a while, or should I just straight up ditch that number? Is there anything else I should be concerned about that I'm missing? Should I tell any family members? Short of moving, what other steps should I take?
Thanks for reading my idiot self's morning tale.
Edit: thank you all, my account has been closed with no repercussions and I've changed my passwords. I'll be extra careful from now on.
