Hey, I have a (not so quick question I guess haha) about college.
I'm not quite sure what I should choose for a college focus now that it's finally time for me to pick something. I've been kinda interested in websites, particularly web design, since I joined high school, but I mentioned this to my parents and they told me to go for Computer Science considering it's more "general purpose" and would give me more opportunities for jobs in the future. I didn't disagree, but I got the feeling that I'd just be pushing through CS just because it seems resourceful rather than something that I actually want to pursue.
And so my question is, if I'm interested in possibly being a web designer in the future, should I apply for Computer Science or Graphic Design?
For some context, I'm 17, and I'll be doing my school's dual enrollment program since I don't particularly want to stick around for yet another year of high school. Plus, discounted college credits are a bonus. I go to a tech school, and I took programming as my technical area. I haven't learned a ton from it to be quite honest, but I did pick up a few HTML, Python and 3D skills.
