TLDR @ bottom.
A few months ago I got a condo. Besides the floors it's 100% white. Walls, cabinets, appliances, counter tops, even the curtains left behind.
I'm having an artist's/writer's dilemma - the overwhelming nature of a white canvas, a blank page, the strong urge to make something beautiful out of it but no idea what.
Well, I have some idea. More like several ideas. I've brainstormed, started pinterest boards, looked at costs for some of it, and researched how to DIY certain things I feel capable of. But there are some big decisions yet to be made before I can do anything major. Color pallette is a big one. Metals, too (between silver or gold). I'd like to have a relatively consistent style throughout, but there are many that I really like and most of them wouldn't look good if mixed.
I'm sure I'm over-thinking it. It's my first home. I've helped others renovate but have never been the decision-maker.
I'm single, so no input from anyone who would have to live with it long-term (my dog doesn't seem to have an opinion). Friends and family have given advice that clearly only reflects their personal styles.
TLDR: I have a completely white home with zero personality, and a million ideas. How does one decide which direction to head before doing anything too major?
