Albert Einstein giving a lecture on relativity at a historically black university in 1946. His peers scrutinized him for it and the press ignored it, which is why this picture is so unknown.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. This isn’t the “mainstream” thought at all in the black community.

Didn’t say or imply that it doesn’t exist. I’m saying it’s not mainstream in the black community as you stated and may be dependent on the area. As you previously said. It’s not being spouted in our circles, meaning the circles that I’m involved with and the many black people I follow through social media platforms. Except for Twitter.

Think it definitely depends on the area. Definitely wouldn’t say it’s mainstream though. Grew up in Texas and and have plenty of folks and friends in California, Georgia, and Indiana and this isn’t spouted in our circles.

Don’t have a twitter so I wouldn’t know anything about celebrities tweeting that stuff but I do remember Nick Cannon getting backlash for anti-Semitic comments. Never went beyond reading the headline though

That still doesn’t prove that it’s “mainstream” in the black community lol. Going strictly by the definition of mainstream, “the popularly accepted trends, ideas, principles and values that are accepted by the majority of people.” Never said or argued this thought doesn’t exist because obviously it does if “some” black celebrities have tweeted that ignorant shit. Just that it’s not at all mainstream thinking in the black community.
