The West's global adversaries have always spent a lot of time and effort trying to use our diversity to create wedges. Russia's geopolitical playbook also explicitly recommends exacerbating US Black/white friction as a way to weaken the Western liberal order. It's their business to understand us really, really well.
Like 90% of the identity issues that sweep through social media start with Chinese or Russian agitators. They've got huge networks of wumao and bots posting comments to fan the flames 24/7, too. Hundreds of thousand of humans and untold numbers of bots promoting the most divisive garbage takes they can find/create.
And that was all before the CCP controlled our content/info curation through TikTok, lol.
