What am I missing with the Key Authentication?

IBKR often asks me to put in the IB Key Authentication. This is not a problem when I am at my computer. I go to my phone, open the app, enter the code, and get the code I need.

However, it's a problem when I am using the app on my phone and it asks me to provide a key authentication when I am already in their app on my phone. For example, when I want to make an electronic deposit or withdrawal, it says "it needs to be confirmed" and asks me to enter the IB Key. But I am already in the app. I would have to navigate away from the place where I am authenticating the IB Key, to get to the place where I can retrieve the key. It doesn't work.

My only way to make EFT deposits and withdrawals are to come to the computer, so when it asks me for an IB Key, I can go to my phone to retrieve it. In other words, I need two devices.

There must be something I am missing? There has to be a better way to do this.

why doesn't it?

i have mine configured for biometrics, so I just need to put my thumb on the screen to pass the check
