Offshore work
Post Body

I'm an E and I manager (the hands on, technical support type, not the spreadsheet and budget type) working for a UK gas distro.

Is there anyone in here who's made the transition from onshore gas to offshore oil and gas who could give me some advice?

Mainly want to know whether the skills required are much different, if it felt like a step up responsibility wise and if my qualifications and experience would be enough.

Would be good to hear from anyone who made the leap of faith.

Cheers
