Yogurt fail

Post Body

Long time lurker, first time posting.

So I have a question, just trying to figure out what I may potentially done wrong. I've attempted making yogurt in my IP twice with yogurt starter (looked kinda brown orange and was clumpy) and 56 oz of ultrapasteruized organic milk. We used the yogurt function on our IP and let it incubate for 8 hours the first time and 12 hours the second time and after refrigerating each batch at 8 hours, both still came out like soup. Any suggestions? Since this is the first time I've attempted making yogurt and I wanted to try it with a starter, I'm not even sure what the starter is supposed to look like. Could I get some help or some advice? It would be much appreciated!

Edit: for clarification we are trying the Cold start method.
