A few weeks ago, I purchased Beats Studio headphones to be delivered to me while I’m working.

The headphones do not work. No one can hear me and the headphones are pure static. I take them to Best Buy to exchange them for a pair that works and message instacart about this - they provide me with a barcode number for the item and the “order number.”

Best Buy associates tells me they need the receipt number for the Best Buy receipt, they can’t look up the purchase with an Instacart order number. I call IC - the associate tells me they’ll email the Best Buy receipt after I explained the situation. I never get the email and the store closes.

I call IC the next day. The person on the phone tells me that they can give me the order number to provide to Best Buy - I tell them, again, that Best Buy does not use their order numbers for receipts and that an IC associate told me the day prior that they’d send me the receipt.

This ended with no resolve. I was instructed to send an email to IC’s order appeals department. Needless to say, I will never order electronics from IC again. It was extremely convenient, but the item not working has shown me that they have several unavoidable flaws in their system.
