I don’t think I’m an insomniac, but I am a night owl.
Some lucky days I can be morning
I work at a university , we got back from winter break and I have had little to no sleep on day 4. Winter break I was up all night, sleep all day.
What breaks my heart is I would nod off, but the anxiety kicks in and I can shut off my brain.
Possible theories I have is 1. Lack of vitamin D. /no sun exposure from winter 2. Magnesium deficiency 3. My body is fighting wanting the old sleep pattern and gets the anxiety of having to go back to work
I was able to catch 6 hours of sleep or 7 before work
I do want to find a night shift job. I’ve always had sleep issues ever since I was a kids I’m just nocturnal .
