Ambien makes me wake up early

It does help me fall asleep but unfortunately I keep waking up way too early. 10 pm is when I fell asleep, now it’s 3 am and I feel awake.
This has happening to me everyday on it.
Edit: alcohol has a similar effect. I’ll wake up super early after a heavy use of drinking.
