On Saturday I didn't get sleepy so I didn't sleep. I went over 36 hours before my brain started telling me "you should go to bed". I slept 12 hours on Sunday - Monday then it happened again. I did not feel tired last night so I just never went to bed. After a while it was like 4am. I had work at 8am so I tried to go to sleep. But couldn't force it. After that I sat up til 8 and decided to take the day off work because I have so much overtime to allocate. I tried to go to sleep again at 10, but nothing. Now it's 14:30 and I'm not even a little bit tired. I can feel the effects of sleep deprivation on my body (bad focus, restlessness, high apatite) but I don't feel tired. It's a while since I tried, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to fall asleep if I tried to.
Should I be concerned about this? Or just go to sleep when I'm able to and hope it's better tomorrow? I've had periods where I was not able to sleep before. But never back to back all nighters. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow for unrelated reasons. I'll talk to him about it.
