CBD for insomnia
Post Body

My doctor recently made me choose between Ambien & Xanax because I stupidly told his PA that I take them together. Nothing extreme, .5 mg Ambien with 1 mg Alprazolam. Got the whole ā€œyou might go to sleep & not wake upā€ bit. Still alive, have been doing it for years.

Iā€™ve been supplementing with Valerian root which is kind of hit & miss. When I do get 6-8, I do wake up easier than on Ambien (more natural waking instead of sleeping right up to my alarm but Iā€™ve never had any of the odd reactions some people get).

I hate taking the VR because of the unpredictable efficacy & the taste/smell. All natural supplements have always been blech. But Iā€™d like to try CBD, I donā€™t like mj, whether itā€™s smoke or edibles. Is CBD more predictable & not so much trial & error? If you you use it, what has worked best for you, like starting dosage, tincture vs gummies?

Appreciate any feedbackā€¦I also take ibuprofen PM, and found out the hard way not to take amitryptolin with it. Pretty sure it almost killed me. Note to self, look up drug interactions.

FTR, Iā€™ve tried Lunesta, Trazadone. Didnā€™t like the side effect. Lunesta worked for sleeping but the aftertaste, yuck. I had to take a full Trazadone before feeling anything, and that was a miserable experience.
