hey everyone,
i’m currently filling out an application for in-n-out, and there’s an option for the early morning clean-up crew. i’m wondering if anyone here has experience with this role? is it tolerable, or are there any downsides to consider? is the work physically demanding? do you feel like it’s manageable with the hours they ask for?
also, for those who’ve worked at in-n-out in general, i’d love to hear about your experience! i’m considering applying and have a few questions:
• how’s the overall work environment? are people generally supportive and easy to get along with?
• how’s management? are they approachable and fair, or is it more strict and rigid?
• what’s the uniform like? do you have to wear anything specific for the clean-up crew, or is it the same for everyone?
• do you feel like you get enough training to handle your tasks well, or do you learn on the go?
• are there any benefits or perks to working here that stand out?
• if you’ve worked at other fast food places, how does in-n-out compare?
• how would you rate your experience working here on a scale of 1-10, and would you recommend it to someone looking for a part-time job?
thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice! any insights would be super helpful as i figure out if this is the right fit for me. 💗💗
I’m the lead clean up at my store and It’s tolerable if you can work fast paced and can be up and moving in the early mornings, ive been doing it for 2-3 years now and like one of the guys mentioned here expect for more workload to be given overtime as you get the basics down. But I will be honest sometimes managers can be very unrealistic with added work load with very little time window. Personally I give them work that is realistic in the short time they give me before I have to clock out. My biggest thing since working there is that I do NOT let the managers talk down on me if I can’t complete everything and not always say “yes” to everything I always say I will try my best and if I can’t get extra work done I tell them I will get it the next shift I work personally. I’m respected within the managers even with me standing up to them because I deliver good work nonetheless. But don’t let these managers belittle you as I have seen many hard working clean up guys get shit on bc one thing that wasn’t done. My coworker has came to realize this 1 year in after I told him. Hopefully my response doesn’t scare you away from clean up but should tell you the reality of things with how long I’ve been doing it. If you are not a morning brew up some black coffee and you’ll have the energy to perform all morning. Nonetheless it’s a chill but fast paced environment and don’t have to worry about much until around 8 am when managers show up , the hours is about 6 from 5-11 unless they leave you at 10 Ik every store is different but def be ready to sweat it up especially if you ever fall behind
I’ve been in your shoes before I had someone who was always behind and I would have to do their work at the end. Best advice is to speak to them and ask if theirs a reason why they are frequently taking breaks and if theirs anything you can do. Maybe theirs a reason and if theirs not then I would be straight forward afterwards saying you’ll appreciate it if he can take Atleast take care of his stuff on time without the frequent breaks effecting you. Dont be scared to speak up because on the long run they’ll get more comfortable with you picking up their slack and could lead to them leaving more and more work for you. I’ve always talked to the clean up guys if I see a consistent slack of work. This is my personal advice from experience in that same situation hopefully you can figure something out with that worker!
I’ve almost had all the drink carriers fall out the box while trying to put them back up . 10-15 of them fall out and landed on my face and head 😂
