I hope you are all doing well !

I am married for 5 years and usually I have a pretty good relation with my family in law but something happen this weekend that change everything.

A bit of me for the context:

I am spanish but living in the Philippines (My wife is filipina ), my whole family in law is filipino

Story:

My daughter was sick and i brought her to the hospital which I stayed for 5 hours with her. While I was waiting and done with all the test my father in law and brother in law came and pick up my daughter so she can go to sleep and I can pay the hospital and do the other errands.

My father in law came in the room kinda stressed and talk to me like shit, however I kinda ignore it. He get my daughter and then I saw him and the brother kinda arguing with the staff, I was probably 5 to 8 meters away so just to make sure I go there and try to see what happen, once I join it seems issue is solved.

Few minutes later, I am at the hospital and receive a text from my wife asking me why I went mad to the staff - I was like what?

Once I am back home, she explain to me the story that my father in law blow up in front of my wife saying that I should calm down, that could go to jail talking the way I was to the staff and saying if I do not like it here I should go back in Europe - OR I was not there when they argue with the staff and even at the end when I came to see what happen I did not talk to the staff.

So my question, is why my father in law accusing me of stuff and treating me while I was not there????

I am really chocked and have no idea how to behave ( I am avoiding him for now, I am a really resentful person) - Does anyone have a similar story? or any idea what could have had happen?
