Question about the Cappucino...

When Takumi races the Suzuki in the rain, everyone acts as if the Cappucino is a cheater car, but I don't understand why. Is it because the car is light? The 86 is already lighter than most of the cars it goes up against, and Takumi already beat a Miata earlier in the season. So what's the big deal with the Suzuki?
