What even is an INFP?!

Post Body

At this point in time, I just want to ramble about something. I apologize in advance, but basically I have been super confused about mbti for a while. I believe that a lot if it comes from stereotypes that have persuaded my opinion. I have been exposed to so many darn stereotypes of infps, i can't help but feel lost about my own type all the time. Should I just ignore them? I've researched on cognitive functions a bit, and I've come to discover that the way in which my brain works is INFP. However, my lifestyle can sometimes be drastically different. I can be an extrovert one day, a thinker another, a sensor the next, and a judger the last. It's all so abstract to me. I know posting on reddit won't do much, but I wanted to see what others think of this. At the end of the day, ever since I was born, and long into the future, I see my brain operating it's little moving parts as I N F P. But then why when I go out and do things, do I seem so different than the idea I perceive in my head?

You're not alone. I don't do art, have any musical ability (in the slightest), I don't like writing bc I never fully learned how, I'm a pretty muscular guy that's really cut so people think I'm a gym bro and don't like to share easily with me, I'm pretty grounded a d def don't feel "lost" in the world. Things like that. There's more, but I'm having a bit of a manic moment and can't really form the rest into words currently.
