Bruh you met ONE person and assumed the whole planet of INFPs are same. Please don't generalise.
Edit: Sure. I have changed my view but can't change the title because reddit ..

I have an INFP friend and it feels like I have to work extra hard just to understand how they are feeling and it's annoying af. If I ask, How are you? They will say "I am good" and eventually, I find out they were feeling shit. Instead of telling problem, they like to keep it to themselves. I am just afraid if they hide something from me which is too harmful for them.
Will there ever be a time when they will be honest or it will be like this for the rest of our lives?
Edit: Got my answer. Thanks. Now Keeping the thread for future reference.
Bc they don't want to tell you. It might be hard for you to understand from your perspective, but it can require a lot of mental energy to truly expound on the question, "How are you?" Besides, not revealing our emotions isn't being dishonest. It's OURS, and we're not entitled as humans to tell anyone. This actually reads a little more like someone being controlling
