I’m fascinated by their intelligence
In terms of Sample size it’s hard to conclude every infp to be significantly smarter than average people but I’ll say this
I know 20 of them close in my circle and 18 of them have outperformed everybody else at school, at being street smart etc
But I’ve also seen how sensitive and in tune/selective they are with figuring/sticking to their internal personal and moral codes
With Te on their 4th stack slot - how would you explain their exceptional intelligence? Is it purely Ne or INFP tend to access their 4th function better than other types?
And I’m not sure about people calling infp stupid because these ones I know have outperformed any of the INTx I know
Well, people would maybe consider me dumb under certain circumstances. Bc I'm intentionally and deliberately not engaging with them. I KNOW this person isn't gonna be interested in hearing my whole opinion or isn't capable of engaging in open "thought exchanging." Closed-minded is probably the best word. Or I'm just genuinely not in the mood. It's easy to purposely put up a proverbial wall. People's opinion of me isn't something that interests me, so I can just leave them to their conclusions.
I feel like we can be seen as intelligent bc we're able to see things from so many different perspectives. This is why we're such good "idea people." We can also prepare well in advance bc we're able to perceive how changing one thing leads to this "new thing." So now we have a different problem that could crop up, so on and so forth. Steps ahead, I guess is the phrase. Oftentimes, things just suddenly make sense without having to apply much thought to it. It almost feels like puzzle pieces lining up. Like, i really know exactly what you mean. You dont have to explain something to me very much at all. I've already got all the details and implications of what you're describing, lmao.
I also feel like we excel at learning from past experiences. Things will feel like something that's happened before, and we've already planned for what we would do differently or can apply a previous solution seamlessly.
Because of intuition, we're able to learn from other people's experiences, too. Somebody can tell me something, and I feel like it happened to me. I swear, I feel like I can imagine exactly what they're saying. So when I encounter it myself later, I can pull from their experience quite easily.
Idk if any of that applies to relative iq points. I couldn't be bothered to take a test. I'm sure I'd be avg at best. I know it's very common for people to assume they're smarter than they are. So, I take that into account in my assessment of myself, lol.

While I'm not an activist, human expression is something that's incredibly moving for me. I can picture and understand how people are the way they are and why it's asinine to put people down bc they're different. I'm genuinely emotional about the thought of people not being able to be who they are and being held back bc they're just not like the hivemind. Your reply is actually making me think I've just been a lazy fuck. Which is a good thing.
