Someone you shut off long ago changed a lot

Just a what if, what if you completely shut off a long time friend because of any reason you can think of. Then years passed, he/she totally has changed. Where the reason you shutting him/her off was totally gone. You can think of any kind of way why you accidentally knew that he/she has really changed. It's just that it happened that you knew, for the sake of example. He/she might be the one who came to you first (or would you ever approach him/her if you knew? After all those years?).

Would you still accept him/her again as your friend? Or you already swear yourself you'll never talk to him/her again? Whatdya think?
