So I’ve thought a good bit about this but I wondered how each genre/style effects you and what you listen to. I know this is different depending on everybody’s circumstances and their relation to their inner and outer world. Anyway most of my favorite music is heavily guitar/synth related and Instrumental Jazz Fusion/Progressive Metal/Video Game Music related it tunes me out of the world and sometimes hypes me up/eases me. Funk makes me feel all festive and vibish, makes me want to play a bass and hear horns too! I’ve also found myself getting into Lo-Fi the past few years especially as an unwind/work background music it’s all warm and fuzzy. For physical workouts I usually stick to metal and brainstorm music I usually stick to fusion. Oddly enough I get more from listening to it alone because I feel more nervous around people even people I’m close with probably especially so actually and I’m unable to dive in quite as well as when I’m alone. This somewhat probably hampers my ability to play with others. (This of course changes when I’m out and do these things when I’m drunk and it’s less stressful) What’s your favorite music genres and how does it affect you? Do you play an instrument too?
