How does your Fi manifest?

I just heard that Fi is one of our stronger unconscious functions, but I don’t know what it does in general and for an Infj. I generally never have an idea of what I want and that indecisiveness is typical for us I thought, but that threw me for a bit of a loop. When thinking of like an Fi dom I have this someone in mind who kind of has an inner “compass” (value system) that guides them, maybe you could contrast your experiences with that?
