It's open enrollment season and I'm trying to determine how much to put in my FSA (flexible spending account). I have great insurance that covers a lot procedure-wise, but donor sperm is a whole different beast. Has anybody successfully used their FSA to purchase donor sperm? I called the claim department and they said they THINK it should be covered under fertility treatments with a doctor letter of medical necessity, but nobody could really give me a straight answer.
Update: In case anybody else who wants to know, I found on the FSA store website: "Donated embryos or donated sperm may also be considered a form of fertility treatment."
