AHH! That was like pulling teeth, only less pleasant!
Post Body

So, traditionally a HSG is scheduled on day 8-10 of your cycle. Because I have PCOS, day 8-10 I was still bleeding like a stuck pig and understandably can't do the HSG. My RE puts me on BCP to stop my 3 week period, orders a pregnancy test (which was predictably a negative) and tells me to schedule the HSG when I do stop bleeding. So today I call the scheduling service, and I think I broke their collective brains. When I explained the whole thing, they just kept repeating day 8-10. By this point, I am pacing like a caged tiger. I was on the verge of crying/screaming. I can't do anything until I have this test, and because I don't know when my next period will be it could be months if I let it proceed naturally. And by this point, I am like FUCK NATURAL! Finally the guy goes, well would you like to speak to a tech? DING DING DING! we have a winner! In fact I would just LOVE to speak to someone that can deviate from the 8-10 day script. I wait a bit and finally... I get to talk to a person who actually has a clue. Why yes, as long as you have the test results faxed the entire 45 feet from the clinic and you keep abstaining we will do the HSG on Monday. Angels sang, and animals frolicked. Oh happy day! Except in the last 4 months I have gotten to have sex with my husband maybe 4 times, and I really want the nookie. Life is tough, but I will wait until Monday night like a good and compliant patient. On the upside though, I got my blood work and my husbands SA results and everything looks good on that front. Ok, end rant!
