How does delsin even stand a change beating eugene and fetch?

Think about it, eugene and fetch had powers for longerand had training from the dup. When fighting fetch delsin has weakened a weakened version of her powers and delsin is serverly weakened by the take over process when fighting.
Delsin has had his powers for like a month max and no training at all, not even non power related training.
It seems like eugene gave him a chance on purpose since he could have just removed the neon and smoke from his domain but there is no reason for fetch to loose
