Earbuds that avoid FR variance problems? Is this possible?

Basically, I really want to give some earbuds a shot, not necessarily in ear headphones, but the more traditional flat kind of design earbuds. I want to give these a shot mostly for the amazing sound stage I feel like they offer, as well as the comfort. I find this to be one of the more comfortable fits that I can get with headphones, because it pretty much feels like they disappear on my head eventually after wearing them long enough. The thing is, from what I understand, there can be some drastic frequency response variance depending on how you were These particular headphones, so from what I understand they are extremely hard to measure, and also very hard to make EQ presets for. With us being said, I want to find a pair that has a really great frequency response out of the box, hopefully somewhere near the Harmon tuning. Is this possible? Or is the form factor just simply not great to work with when it comes to the base Harmon requires, etc.?
