Hi there, Who are the main players or leaders in the field of factory automation design? For example I want to design a new plant to make widgets or transform a more traditional process adding pickers and palletizers, who should I call? (Not Ghostbusters I presume!). Are those mostly large consultancy companies or there are more specitic firms?
Do you just want a standalone system? Then you may go directly to system manufacturers.
If you want the said system to be integrated upstream and downstream into your current plant setup, along with PLC automation and any other computerized data collection and automation systems you have (ignition for example), you buy the system from the manufacturer, but installation, boot up, and everything else is done by system integrators.
