“We plan to complete the review and sign a contract for the construction of a gas pipeline with a capacity of 50 billion cubic metres in the near future,” Novak said on Thursday to the Russian state TV channel Rossiya 1.
The pipeline, intended to carry natural gas from the Yamal region in northern Russia to China via Mongolia, has been in question since 2014 when the two countries first agreed on its construction.
